DD Supervised Living
Our goal is to provide quality mental health services that empower individuals to reach their full potential. We offer a less structured living arrangement to individuals who need semi-independent living and instruction in areas such as food preparation, housekeeping, medication administration, personal hygiene, and budgeting. Our highly-trained and experienced staff is dedicated to providing the highest level of care to promote emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing.
What is a Person Centered Approach?
A person-centered approach is an approach to mental health care that focuses on the individual’s mental health needs and goals. We believe that a person-centered approach is the best way to ensure that our clients are receiving the most personalized and effective care possible. We emphasize listening to our clients, understanding their individual experiences, and working collaboratively with them to develop a plan of care tailored to their specific needs.
What are ADL's?
ADLs, or activities of daily living, are activities that are necessary for adults to live independently. These activities include self-care such as dressing, grooming, bathroom hygiene, and healthy eating; household activities such as cleaning, shopping, and cooking; and mobility such as navigating the community and transportation.
ADLs can help improve mental health by providing a sense of purpose, structure, and accomplishment. When individuals are able to care for themselves and their environment, they can feel more in control and better about themselves. ADLs can also help to improve self-esteem, reduce stress, and promote physical and emotional wellbeing.
